Thank You

We are grateful to our main sponsor, Circuits Electrical; and our Girls’ sponsor ABC landscaping. Their contribution has helped to expand the number of competitions we organise.

We are also thankful to Pete & Paul Pettit and the staff at Pettits Shoes (Mexborough) for being the main outlet for book sales and collections. Other important outlets were Hollygrove (Goldthorpe), Cox Shop (Rawmarsh), Potteries Tea Rooms (Swinton) and Wath Sports.

Not forgetting our logo sponsors for showing blind faith supporting the book before it was written.

Author Steve Penny spent double the amount of hours that we anticipated with this project. This was on top of his day job! Steve gave us a very charitable rate for his services.

Finally, thanks to all the 550 people who bought a copy of the book – each of you has played a small part in sustaining this historic competition.

If you missed out on a book, they are still available via Amazon. We don’t get anything out of these sales. tinyurl.com/tottyAmz

The Future

We now have to look towards increasing our income to cover the increasing costs of running five cup competitions – hopefully next year this will be six!

We are undecided as to what the best way of increasing this income. Here’s a few ideas…
– Setting up as some sort of charity so that we can accept private donations
– Having a £300 sponsor for each competition
– Joining the blue tokens scheme with TESCO (one-off)
– Asking each school that reaches the final to contribute (eg. £100 per school)

The last option, we are told, is something that could prevent schools from competing (finances are that tight in schools) – so that is probably a non-starter.

Anyone who has a suggestion as to a way forward, please get in touch at contact@tottycup.co.uk or 07985902346

We welcome contact from anyone who may be interested in helping out in any way.
