Steve Phillips: I played in the 1972 cup winning team for Monkwood. That’s me back left in the photo. I’m pretty sure the score in the final was 3-1 not 3-2. If my memory serves me right we beat Swinton Fitzwilliam 3-2 in the semi-final and Mexborough Doncaster Rd 12-2 in the quarter final (their 2 goals were scored by Ian Banks who went on to play professionally for Barnsley and a few other teams).
