Jon Brown remembers: I seem to remember we tossed a coin, one thing I do remember I scored our goal and South Yorkshire times wrote, it was scored by Deano ( Dean Whitehouse )
Geoff Frodsham: Wath Central team we played adwick Road from Mexboro to get there we beat Bolton Carfield 3-2 and I scored the winner in that match.
Adwick Road and ourselves drew 1-1 in the final and shared the cup 6 months each we lost the toss and had to take the runners up shield for the first 6 months.
A very emotional end to what was a great game of football!!!!!
Geoff Salmons presented the trophies.
Ron Fordham: “I ran the Adwick Road team. It certainly was a great final. We had Dean Whitehouse who played in the league for Barnsley and Torquay United. A nice aspect was that all five of Dean’s grandfather’s grandsons had played in Totty Cup finals. We told the South Yorkshire Times who made a nice little story of it.”
