Preview:
The final of the Totty Cup will be played at Low Valley on Saturday morning (April 12th), kick-off 10.30 am. The teams contesting are Darfield Council and Brampton.
Darfield Council have had a very good season, having won the B division of the league having only dropped 3 points. Losing to Broomhill and drawing to Broomhill. In the Totty Cup they have defeated Broomhill 3-1 after a drawn game of 2 -2, Wombwell Park Street 3-2 and Wath Park Road 3-1. A feature of their play has been the good all-round team work, while a good team spirit has been an asset. Brampton have a good record in the A division, which is considered slightly higher in standard. In reaching the final they have beaten Goldthorpe 2-1 (away), Wath Victoria 6-0 (away) and Wath National. A good game is anticipated and as the winners of the B division will be in opposition to possible winners of the A division, it will be interesting to see how the two standards compare.

This team would not have even played in the Totty Cup (as pre-war it was purely Dearne schools) but Roman Terrace did feature in the competition subsequently.
