Steven Sheppard senior 1967 Clarke Shield & Steven Sheppard junior winning the Totty Cup in the mid 1990s for Hill.
2022 & 23 winner Matty Beckitt is cousins with Charlie Foers (2012 Totty winner). In 1989 Mattys Dad (Steven) and Uncle (Robert) played as losing semi-finalists.
1994 Jonathan Pendlebury won the Barlow-Salmons with Fitzwilliam & then in, his brother 1995 Andrew Pendlebury repeated this.
1949 Brian Swales won the Totty Cup with Thurnscoe Houghton Road. In 1968, Brian’s son, Shane won the Totty Cup with Thurnscoe Hill.
Eric Lacey played for Don & Dearne, England Schoolboys & Barnsley. Eric’s brother’s grandson, Ian Hudson went on to win the Totty Cup twice with Thurnscoe Hill in 1981 & 1982. Additionally, Eric’s grandson, Ben Cheetham, won the Totty Cup in 1990 with Swinton Brookfield.
Andy Mangham played for Carrfield in the 1978 Barlow-Salmons and then won the Totty Cup in 1979. Andy’s nephew, George Blaydes, played in the Totty Cup finals of 2018 and 2019 for Lacewood.
Peter Gill won the Clarke Shield in 1963 & 1964 playing for Wath Central. Pete’s grandson, Kai Grainger won the Totty Cup in 2016 with Wath C of E.
Carrfield Brothers
Carrfield had plenty of brothers featuring in the early 1990s
Lee Guest won the Barlow-Salmons in 1992 and Dean Guest scored a hat-trick in the Totty Cup final of 1994. They weren’t the only ones..
