Scorers: Webb 8, Shepherd 2, Chaplin & Walton (Bolton) Adkin (Brampton)

Sheffield Independent – Tuesday 11 May 1937
Played on 10/5/37 on Goldthorpe United’s ground.
Report from South Yorkshire Times 14/5/37
At Goldthorpe on Monday, Bolton Senior added to their collection of trophies by defeating Brampton Ellis Senior 13-1. As the score suggests, the game was one-sided. Bolton were a bigger and stronger team, but the Brampton boys played gamely. Bolton took an early lead when Webb scored from a penalty. Adkin equalised, also from a penalty. The Bolton half-backs practically dominated the game, while Webb was outstanding in the forward line. The small Brampton defenders could not withstand the thrust of this big lad, who was responsible for four more goals before half-time, three coming direct from his own feet and the fourth being turned into the net by a Brampton full-back. Playing down the slope in the second half, Bolton had their visitors almost entirely on the defensive. Eight more goals were scored. Webb brought his match score to eight. Shepherd (2), Chaplin and Walton being the other marksmen.
At the conclusion of the match Mr. J. Bedfors presented the Totty Cup to Lacey the Bolton captain.
