Andrew Vickers played for Swinton Brookfield who played Thurnscoe Hill in the semi final at the LNER ground. “Most of the school came down to watch us, ( had made a banner as well if memory serves me right) by the time they got there I think we were 2 down already.  Lost 5-0 eventually I think.”
