Ron Fordham: 

“Alan Powell went on to captain Don and Dearne seniors and then became a primary school headteacher in Sandwell.
Melvyn Senior lived on my street .and we became friends when we both went to Mexborough Tech.
HE was a part time professional with Don Revie’s Leeds, but wouldn’t give up his Student apprenticeship.. He went on to become a part time pro’ in the Midland league, and an engineer at Rolls Royce.”
