Alex Steadman (Carrfield): “In the 1993/94 season, we only lost one match in any competition , including county representative finals playing at Barnsley FC. We lost playing at Oakwell against Thurgoland. That 1994 team was excellent with a core of four players playing for Hoyland Common Falcons for a number of years in the same team; myself, Phil Taylor, Jason Kazami and Andy Ashley. The Striker, Dean Guest, who got a hat-trick in the Final, was excellent all that season too. Other players were Ryan Garrett, Shaun ‘Bennie’ Whitehead, James Duggan, Mick Jones, Andy Johnson. There are more obviously but can’t remember names! Both Ryan Garrett and his dad, John Garrett both won the cup.”
