The winning goal came from Clare Unsworth who also played for the Barnsley girls. This Gooseacre team also won several trophies that year and had some excellent young footballers

The Gooseacre team was made up mostly with the Dearne and District Sunday team which team manager was Steve Hey who also managed the school team.
