Wath C of E 5-1 Fitzwilliam
The Winstanley Cup was held aloft for the first time in 87 years when Wath C of E girls defeated a spirited Swinton Fitzwilliam at Wath Academy.

Ilya opened the scoring for C of E with a close range effort from a corner. Just before half-time Aleigha held off a defender and shot low into the corner from 15 yards.
Two further goals early in the second half extended Wath’s lead – Aleigha reacting to confusion after a long throw-in, then a scrambled goal by Neve.
Fitzwilliam had two great shots from distance by Javaria and Peaches before Harper had a poacher’s effort saved by Grace in the C of E goal – Harper sustaining an injury that ruled her out of the rest of the game.
Fitzwilliam’s star player, Peaches, dispatched a penalty in fine style to reduce the deficit.
Ilya hit the post for C of E with a powerful strike before Lily scored late on with a goal that almost went in straight from a corner.
